What is the standard postcard size for mailing?

The standard mailing postcard is 4 by 6 inches. It is the most widely used format and qualifies for the lowest USPS postcard rate. To keep that rate, your finished piece has to stay between the 3.5 by 5 inch minimum and the 4.25 by 6 inch maximum.
- Most common: 4 x 6 in, the default for direct mail.
- Rate window: 3.5 x 5 in up to 4.25 x 6 in.
- Above the window: anything larger mails at the First-Class letter rate.
