Fold Your Whole Pitch Into One Sheet
Fold a single sheet in half and it suddenly has a cover, an inside spread, and a back. That is a brochure, the piece you reach for when one flat flyer cannot hold the whole story. It prints flat and folds down the middle, opening to give you room for a menu, a service list, an event schedule, or a product lineup, then closing to a size someone can rack, mail, or pocket. Standard brochures start at $57.11 for a set of 50 and are rated 4.9 out of 5 across 150 reviews, printed by a shop that has run marketing collateral online since 1999.
One folded sheet carries what would take several flyers, and it hands the reader the pitch in order: cover, inside spread, back. Folded, direct mail and specialty brochures are grouped on brochures printing.
A set of 50 for $57.11 covers one trade show table. A full campaign print pays far less per piece, with the price falling at each of the 25 tiers up to 25,000; the tiers below show every total.
What Are Brochures
A brochure is a folded piece that holds more than a flyer: full color, 6 sizes from a compact 5.5" x 8.5" to a wide 11" x 25.5", on any of 4 stocks. You print one when a single page cannot hold the message, such as a restaurant or cafe menu, a real estate listing, a service overview, an event or travel guide, a product catalog, or a nonprofit program. Churches order church brochures for the same reason. A half fold gives you 4 page brochure printing from one sheet, and the panels put a longer story in reading order. For the wider choice between brochures and catalogs, our guide compares them. If you want a single unfolded sheet instead, the Standard Flyers cover that, and the brochure sits right beside it as the version that opens up.
What Size Should a Brochure Be
Pick the size by the content and by how the brochure travels. A 5.5" x 8.5" folds to a slim handout that racks or mails. The classic 8.5" x 11" and 8.5" x 14" fold into a familiar bi-fold or tri-fold with room for a full service list. The 9" x 12", 11" x 17" and wide 11" x 25.5" give panels for a full menu or a multi-page product guide; for menus, see standard menu sizes and the exact inches for every restaurant menu. The specs below list all 6 sizes, both finishes, the fold option and every stock the way the configurator groups them. If none of the presets fits, set a custom size from 5.5 to 11 inch wide and 8.5 to 25.5 inch tall.
The fold, the stock and the design decide how a brochure reads.
Brochure Fold Types
The fold decides how many panels you get and the order a reader meets them in. All the closed sizes below start from the same flat 8.5" x 11" sheet.
Half fold
One fold down the middle of the 11" side. Two panels a side, four printable panels in all, closing to 5.5" x 8.5". It is the simplest fold and the one that holds the most uninterrupted space per panel, so it suits a menu, a price list, or an event program where a whole page has to stay whole. This is the fold offered on the standard brochure here, and the dedicated product is folded brochures.
Bi-fold
The same single fold as a half fold, named for the two panels it produces per side. Four panels, closing to 5.5" x 8.5" from an 8.5" x 11" sheet, giving a front cover, an inside spread and a back. Reach for it when the content divides into a cover, one long story and a contact panel, and print it as folded brochures.
Tri-fold
Two parallel folds turn the sheet into three panels a side, six panels in all, each about 3.67" wide and 8.5" tall when closed. The right hand panel folds in first and the left hand panel folds over it, so a reader opens one flap and then the rest. It is the rack and mailer fold: narrow enough for a display stand or a business envelope, with six panels for services, a map and a reply section. Set it up in the brochures range at the size and stock you need.
Z-fold
The same three panels per side and the same closed footprint of about 3.67" x 8.5", but the folds alternate direction, so the sheet zigzags. Pull it open and all three panels lay out flat in a row, with no flap covering another. That is why it suits a timeline, a step by step process, a comparison across three columns, or anything that has to be read left to right in one movement. Print it from the brochures range.
Gate fold
The sheet splits into a wide center with a narrower flap on each side, and the two flaps fold in to meet in the middle. Closed it sits at about 5.5" x 8.5", the same footprint as a half fold, but it opens from the center outward like a pair of doors, revealing a wide uninterrupted center panel. Use it when the reveal is the point: a property, a car, a single hero image, a launch announcement. Set it up from the brochures range.
Paper Stocks and Finishes for Brochures
Four stocks are sold on this product. Three are text weights, which fold softly and feel like a magazine page, and one is a cover weight that gives a brochure some stiffness in the hand.
| Stock | Feel | Best use | Writability | With High Gloss UV |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100# Gloss Text | Smooth and shiny, color sits bright on the surface | Photography, food, property, anything that sells on the image | Pen skids and marker takes a long time to dry | Adds more shine and helps the surface resist scuffing in a rack or a mailbag |
| 100# Silk/Matte Text | Low sheen, smooth, no glare under overhead light | Text-heavy brochures people read indoors, and anything held under lights at a show | Takes ballpoint reasonably well | Turns the matte surface glossy, which removes the reason most people pick this stock |
| 70# Uncoated Text | Natural, papery, no shine at all | Forms, reply sections, education and nonprofit pieces, anything meant to feel plain and honest | The best of the four for pen, pencil and rubber stamp | Not the pairing to choose, since an uncoated sheet is picked to stay matte and writable |
| 14pt Gloss Cover | Noticeably stiffer, the only cover weight here | Brochures that get handled repeatedly, left on a counter, or posted without an envelope | Pen skids, same as gloss text | The most visible change of the four, and it makes the folded edge harder wearing |
The High Gloss UV Coating is chosen per order alongside the stock, so pick the stock for how the piece has to feel and read first, then decide whether the coating helps or fights it.
Pick a stock that fits the job
The default 100# Gloss Text gives photos a bright, coated snap at a friendly price. The 100# Silk/Matte Text reads soft with less glare, good for text-heavy pieces. The 70# Uncoated Text takes a pen if people write on it. And the heavier 14pt Gloss Cover gives a brochure a stiffer, premium weight in the hand. A High Gloss UV Coating makes a cover photo or logo snap even more.
Use the fold to organize the story
Order the half fold and the sheet arrives creased into a cover, an inside spread and a back. On the larger sizes the panels divide into bi-fold and tri-fold layouts, so a menu or a service list breaks into sections. Folding pricing is subject to change upon file review, and you can add perforation for a tear-off reply card or coupon.
Design it without a designer
Start from one of the free layouts in our brochure design templates, part of the 10,000+ design templates across 4OVER4, then change the colors, copy and logo in the online editor. The bi-fold, tri-fold, z-fold and gate fold layouts come with the panel proportions already set.
Built your own layout? Download the blank brochure template for your size instead. It carries the real trim, the 1/8" bleed, the safe margin and the fold lines, so no text lands in a crease. Drop your art in and upload.
How Much Do Brochures Cost
Past the $57.11 starting set of 50, 100 brochures cost $82.38, 500 cost $155.97 and 1,000 cost $180.13, with the price falling toward 25,000. Pick any count on the slider below to see what it costs.
Wally folds your whole pitch into one sheet
Why a $57.11 stack of brochures says more than a flyer ever could.

Fifty brochures start at $57.11, and the fold gives you panels for a menu, a listing, or a service overview. Pick a size up to 11 by 25.5 inch, choose your stock, add a half fold, and Wally gets them printed fast, as quick as same-day out of NYC.
Can Your Brochure Be Folded
Yes. Choose the half fold in the configurator and the flat sheet comes back as a two-panel brochure with a cover, an inside and a back. The larger sizes leave room for bi-fold and tri-fold layouts, so a full menu or service overview reads in order. Add perforation for a tear-off reply card or coupon, and print full color on both sides so every panel carries content. Folding pricing is subject to change upon file review.

Standard Brochures: Frequently Asked Questions
How much does brochure printing cost?
Standard brochures start at $57.11 for a set of 50, and the price per piece keeps dropping as the run climbs toward 25,000, so a bigger order is the cheapest way to print per brochure. Folding, a UV coating and perforation add a small step shown live in the configurator before you check out.
What sizes do brochures come in?
There are 6 sizes: 5.5" x 8.5", 8.5" x 11", 8.5" x 14", 9" x 12", 11" x 17" and 11" x 25.5". The 8.5" x 11" is the most common, the 5.5" x 8.5" fits a #10 envelope, and the 11" x 25.5" gives you a long panel layout.
What paper stocks can I choose?
Brochures print on 4 stocks: 100# Gloss Text and 14pt Gloss Cover for bright, photo-heavy pieces, 100# Silk/Matte Text for a soft low-glare read, and 70# Uncoated Text when people need to write on it. A High Gloss UV coating is available for extra shine and scuff resistance.
Can brochures be folded?
Yes. Standard brochures print flat or with a single half fold that turns one sheet into a four-page opener. For tri-fold, z-fold or gate-fold styles, choose Folded Brochures, which use the same stocks and sizes.
How fast can I get brochures printed?
Standard turnaround is 3 business days, with 2-day, Next-Day and Same-Day rush available for a set percentage on top of the base price. Ground shipping time is added on top, and you can check the delivery window by ZIP code before you order.
Can I print on both sides, and will you proof my file?
Brochures print full color on the front only (4/0) or on both sides (4/4). Before anything prints you can pick a Free Online Proof or a Next Day Hardcopy Proof, or send it Straight To Production when your file is ready.
