Metal Business Cards, Aluminum Signs and A-Frames
Metal printing here covers three products. Metal Business Cards are cut from stainless steel, gold, rose gold, bronze, black or white metal, 0.3mm, 0.5mm or 0.8mm thick. Metal Signs print on a 1/8 inch aluminum panel in eight sizes from 11 by 17 to 30 by 40 inches or a custom size. Metal Rod A-Frames are a black metal frame, 27.75 by 31.5 inches, that holds a 4mm corrugated plastic sign on the sidewalk.
Metal Business Cards
The cards come in 2 by 3.5, slim 1.5 by 3.5 or square 2.5 by 2.5 inches or a custom size, with a matte, mirror, brushed or etched surface. Print in black, white, two PMS colors or full color, or leave the ink off and laser engrave the front, the back or both. A custom laser cut outline, a QR code or barcode, and engraved variable data such as a name per card are options.
Metal Signs and A-Frames
Metal Signs print on one side or both under a 2.5mil gloss or matte laminate, with 1/4 inch rounded corners and drilled holes at the corners or at the top and bottom center as an option, so they screw to a wall or hang from a post. The A-Frame comes with one sign printed on both sides, the same image or two different ones, in a 24 by 18, 24 by 24 or 18 by 24 inch size.
Designing for a Metal Surface
On a card, leave areas unprinted so a brushed or mirror finish shows through, and use engraving for fine type. On a sign, dark colors such as black, navy and deep red stand out, and large sans-serif type stays readable from across a street.
Production Times
Metal Rod A-Frames offer production up to 3 business days, Metal Signs up to 4, both with a same-day option, and Metal Business Cards take 15, so order the cards well ahead of a conference. Across all its orders, 4OVER4.COM delivers 99.8% on time and holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating across more than 10,000 reviews.

Metal Printing FAQ
How thick is a metal business card?
Choose 0.3mm, which the catalog lists as 14 point, 0.5mm or 20 point, or 0.8mm or 30 point. The thicker cards feel heavier in the hand.
Can a metal card carry a QR code?
Yes. QR Code, Code 39, Code 128, UPC-A and UPC-E are options, so a card can open a contact page or a portfolio when scanned.
How do I hang a metal sign?
Choose drilled holes at all four corners, the top corners or the top and bottom center, then screw it to a wall or tie it to a fence or a post.
How should I prepare artwork for metal?
Submit 300 DPI files in CMYK, or vector art for engraving and laser cutting, sized from the template for your product.
