Get Every Reply Counted Before the Big Day

Your guest checks a box, signs a name and drops the card in the mail, and you have a headcount instead of a maybe. An RSVP card is that reply piece: flat, 4.25 by 5.5 inches, full color on any of 19 stocks from everyday gloss to metallic pearl. It fits the White Wove A2 envelope we sell beside it, and it works the same for a wedding invitation, a shower invite or a gala announcement. Buyers rate it 5.0 out of 5 across 60 reviews.

Printing one costs about the same as any flat card, it comes back to you in its own envelope, and your caterer and venue get a real number to plan with. The rest of the stationery sits on invitations printing; the options on this page build the reply card itself.

A 300-guest wedding needs a very different run from a 20-person shower, and the tiers below show what each count costs. Tap one to see the set total and how far the per-card cost drops at the next step.

What is an RSVP card

An RSVP card is a small flat response card that guests return to confirm whether they will attend an event. At 4OVER4.COM RSVP cards print full color on one or both sides at a single 4.25 by 5.5 inch size, on any of 19 stocks, with the ink, finish, corners, and matching envelope all set in the live configurator.

It is the reply half of the invitation. You tuck it inside the suite, the guest fills it in and mails it back, and you count the yeses before the event. The 4.25 by 5.5 inch trim is the flat A2 response size, so it fits a standard A2 envelope with no trimming. For exact dimensions and how guests fill one in, read the RSVP card size guide.

You set the ink, the stock and the corners here, and the total changes with each pick. The card that receives the reply is the Response Cards, and many hosts print both on the same stock so the pair matches. The specs below follow the same groups as the configurator.

How much do RSVP cards cost

Cost follows the guest list. A set of 25 works out to about 79 cents a card, and at 100,000, the top of the 41 quantity tiers, each card comes to roughly 2 cents. A metallic stock, the High Gloss UV coat, envelopes and a faster turnaround add to the total, and the configurator shows the exact figure before you order.

Some real points on the ladder: 700 cards run $106.55, 6,000 run $238.14, and a 25,000 card run is $702.08. Event houses and large weddings that order toward 100,000 pay near 2 cents a card. A heavier metallic pearl stock, a High Gloss UV coat, matching envelopes, or a rush speed shift the total, and you see every change in real time. You can watch the RSVP cards video to see the card and its finish in print before you pick a stock. Want a side-by-side quote? What paper stocks and finishes are available

The 19 stocks for RSVP cards run from a 13pt recycled uncoated cover and 14pt to 24pt coated gloss, through uncoated and cream covers, 100% recycled kraft, a 16pt soft touch and white linen at 14pt and 18pt, up to metallic pearl in ice, champagne, silver and gold, with ice also at 26pt. You finish the card Standard or with a High Gloss UV Coating, and print 4/0 front only, 4/1 with a black back, or 4/4 full color on both sides.

Match the reply card to the invitation it answers. A 14pt Gloss Cover keeps the card clean and low in cost. The 14pt or 18pt White Linen adds a woven texture you feel, and the 16pt Uncoated with Soft Touch has a velvety matte surface. The metallic pearl stocks in ice, champagne, silver and gold catch light like foil at a lower price, and the 26pt Metallic Pearl Ice feels thick in the hand.

For a greener order, the 18pt Kraft is 100% recycled and two more stocks run 30% recycled cover. Pick Standard or a High Gloss UV coat, then set ink to 4/0, 4/1 or 4/4. A blank back gives a guest room to write a note; full color on both sides carries your suite artwork onto the back.

Can you add matching envelopes and rounded corners

Yes. 4OVER4.COM offers a matching White Wove A2 envelope sized for the 4.25 by 5.5 inch RSVP card, so it seals and mails with no trimming. You can also finish the card with square corners or rounded corners at a 1/8 inch or 3/8 inch radius, all chosen in the configurator.

The card has to come back to you, so the envelope counts. Add the White Wove A2 envelope and the two ship as a set, cut to fit and ready to address and stamp. If you buy envelopes elsewhere, leave them off and print the cards alone.

Keep square corners, or round them at a small 1/8 inch radius or a softer 3/8 inch radius. A rounded corner looks gentler and resists the dog-ears a card picks up on its trip through the mail and back.

If your artwork is ready, skip the editor and download the blank RSVP card template. It is set at the 4.25 by 5.5 inch trim with the bleed and safe margin drawn in, so your text stays clear of the cut. Place your art on it and upload.

How do you proof and how fast can you get RSVP cards printed

4OVER4.COM prints RSVP cards on four turnaround speeds, from same-day out of the New York City facility to a standard 3 business days, with next-day and 2-day in between. Before printing you can go Straight To Production, request a Free Online Proof, or order a Next Day Hardcopy Proof. Order by the daily cutoff and a same-day job ships that afternoon.

Deadlines around a wedding or event are real, so speed is built in. Standard production is 3 business days at the lowest price, and next-day, 2-day, and same-day rush stack on top when the date is close. Same-day orders need approval by noon EST to ship that day from the NYC plant, and 99.8% of 4OVER4.COM orders land on time with 82% shipping early.

On proofing, you choose your comfort level. Send it Straight To Production to save time, get a Free Online Proof to eyeball the file first, or add a Next Day Hardcopy Proof when you want to hold the real stock and color before the full run.

What do people use RSVP cards for

RSVP cards collect guest replies for weddings, showers, parties, and formal events, mailed back inside the matching envelope with a headcount, meal choice, or song request. They ship as part of an invitation suite alongside the invitation and save-the-date, so the whole set matches in stock and color.

Couples mail them with wedding invitations so the caterer and the venue get firm numbers. Hosts send them for showers, birthdays, anniversaries and galas, often with a line for a meal pick or a song request.

We print the whole suite, so you can match the RSVP to your Invitation Cards and your Save the Date Cards on the same stock and finish. For a ceremony suite, the Wedding RSVP Cards use the same build.

How do RSVP cards compare to the rest of the suite

An RSVP card is the lowest cost way to get a firm reply, and the rest of the set costs more per piece. If you are also pricing a save-the-date, a folded invitation or a heavier stock, the chart below puts RSVP cards beside those siblings with the starting price of each.

RSVP Cards: Frequently Asked Questions

What is the smallest number of RSVP cards I can order?

The smallest set is 25 cards, starting at $19.77. Quantities run up through 41 tiers to 100,000, and the per-card cost slides toward 2 cents on the largest runs. If your guest list is small, a set of 25 covers it without forcing you into a bigger run.

What size are these RSVP cards?

There is one size, 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches, which is the flat A2 response card format. It is the standard reply card size that pairs with most wedding and event invitation suites. Because there is only one size, you do not have to guess which dimension your envelopes expect.

Can I get envelopes that match the cards?

Yes. Matching blank White Wove A2 envelopes are offered as an option right beside the card, and the 4.25 by 5.5 inch card drops straight into them. Ordering the envelopes with the cards means you are not hunting for an A2 envelope separately after the cards arrive.

Which paper stocks can I choose for a reply card?

There are 19 stocks, including gloss, uncoated, cream, 100% recycled kraft, soft touch, and white linen. Metallic pearl is also offered in ice, champagne, silver, and gold, up to 26pt. Uncoated and linen take a pen well, which matters because guests write their names on this card.

Can guests write on the card if I choose a coated stock or UV finish?

The card can be finished plain or with a High Gloss UV Coating, and UV coating leaves a slick surface that pens can smear on. If guests need to write a name or a meal choice, an uncoated, cream, or linen stock with a plain finish is the safer pick. The coated and UV options suit a card where the reply is a checkbox rather than handwriting.

How long does printing take if the wedding is close?

Standard production is 3 business days, and rush options run at 2 days, Next-Day, and Same-Day. Production time is separate from shipping, so allow transit time on top when you are counting back from the mailing date.
