Question
Why do my printed cards have color variations or slight shade differences?
Answer
Minor color shifts are a normal part of printing and cannot be eliminated entirely. Lighter tones like light purple are the hardest to hold consistent.
- Slight variation in tone and shade across a run is expected and unavoidable, even with standard color management.
- Light and pastel colors drift more than deep, saturated ones.
- If consistency is critical, print a sample first to confirm the result.
- Choosing darker, more saturated colors makes the outcome easier to control.
