What is bleed and why does my design have a white border?

Bleed is the extra bit of background that runs past the trim line so no white strip shows up after cutting. When there is not enough bleed, a thin white border appears at the edge.

• To remove the border, extend your background color or image beyond the final trim size.
• A standard bleed is 1/8" (0.125") on each side.
• Prefer a framed look? Leaving no bleed simply gives you a clean white border, which is a normal result.
