Question
What file format do I need to make custom prints?
Answer
PDF is the preferred format for most custom prints because it locks fonts, colors, and layout exactly as you designed them. Other common formats work too when set up correctly.
| Format | Notes |
|---|---|
| Best choice, preserves everything, embed your fonts | |
| AI / EPS | Vector art, outline the fonts before saving |
| PSD / TIFF | High-resolution raster, flatten before export |
| JPEG / PNG | Acceptable at 300 DPI |
Whatever the format, build at a minimum of 300 DPI so the result stays sharp and crisp.
