Question

I am interested in the premium wine labels and wanted to know if they were waterproof?

Answer

Yes, wine labels can be printed on a waterproof substrate. We offer a wide range of label materials, and out of that lineup two of the substrate options are fully waterproof, which is what you want for bottles that sit in ice buckets or pick up condensation while chilling.

  • Paper-based substrates give a classic, textured look but are best for room-temperature display, not submersion or heavy moisture.
  • Waterproof film substrates (the two waterproof options) are plastic-based, so they shrug off water, ice-bucket soaking and condensation without the label bubbling or disintegrating.
  • If your bottles will be chilled, stored in coolers, or exposed to humidity, choose one of the waterproof film options.

When you configure your order, look for the waterproof material choices and pair them with a gloss or matte laminate for added scuff and smudge resistance.
