Color coverage is written as two numbers separated by a slash. It describes how many ink colors print on each side of the sheet.

| 4/0 | Full color (CMYK) on the front, blank back |
| 4/4 | Full color on both sides |
| 1/0 | One ink color on the front only |
| 1/1 | One ink color on both sides |
- The 4 refers to CMYK four-color process printing, which reproduces the vast majority of colors for photos and graphics.
- The first number is the front, and the second is the back.
- Choose 4/4 for a double-sided design and 4/0 to save cost on a single-sided piece.
- Build your artwork in CMYK so on-screen and printed color stay as close as possible.
