Question

What file resolution is acceptable for printing logos?

Answer

Logos print cleanest when they are either vector art or a high-resolution raster file, because logos often have crisp edges and fine detail that show every flaw.

  • Vector (AI, EPS, PDF): ideal, since it stays razor-sharp at any size.
  • Raster (JPG, TIFF, PNG): at least 300 DPI at the size it will print.
  • Avoid enlarging small web logos, which are usually 72 dpi and turn fuzzy.

Not sure your logo file will hold up? Upload it and the team will assess the resolution and advise if a revision is needed before production.
