What file format should I submit for printing-can I use a scan?
Answer
A scan will not hold up to professional printing, so it is not a format we can print from. Scanned images lack the resolution, color setup, and bleed a press needs.
Instead, submit one of these:
- A print-ready PDF built in CMYK at 300 DPI with proper bleed.
- A design made in 4OVER4's free online design tool, which sets your file up to print-ready specs for you.
If all you have is a scanned original, a designer can rebuild it as a clean print-ready file before you submit.
