How do I review and approve my proofs?

Once your files pass 4OVER4's review, you get an email and account notification with a link to your proofs (the order status shows Online Proofs Available, typically within one business day), and approving them is what releases the job to production.

• Log into your 4OVER4 account and click your order number, or click the blue proof button next to the order and hit Continue to open the proofs.
• Review the proofs for correct layout, text, spelling, colors, bleed, trim, and orientation; zoom in on small text and read any notes your file rep left at the bottom of the proofs page.
• Finalizing takes two separate actions: first accept the proof (OK MY PROOFS), then click Approve next to the order number. Accepting alone is not enough, the job will not print until both are done, and approval also authorizes your payment (you may be asked for a card security code).
• If something is wrong, click Reject Proofs and add your feedback in the comments section. A technician reviews your notes, corrects the file, and uploads a fresh proof for you to check again.

A few special cases: orders placed as Straight To Production skip manual approval and move to print automatically after file review, though the proof is still posted for reference. Hard copy color proofs are approved by signing the form and mailing both the proof and form back, or sending support an image of the signed form. Only the account owner can approve, support can capture your approval if you cannot click through, and if the proof email never arrives, contact support with your order number for a fresh link. Take your time on this step, since approval is your sign-off that the file is ready to print, and your production turnaround clock starts from approval, so confirm your delivery date still holds right after approving a rush order.
