Question

Do you print spot color (PMS) or only full-color process?

Answer

Printing is done in full-color process, also known as CMYK. If your artwork calls out PMS (Pantone Matching System) colors, they are converted to the closest process equivalent rather than mixed as true spot inks.

  • Process, not spot: all jobs print in four-color CMYK.
  • PMS gets converted: named Pantone colors map to their nearest process match.
  • Expect slight shifts: the final color may differ a little from the exact PMS specification.

If brand color accuracy is critical, build your files in CMYK and review a proof so you can see how the converted color will print before the run.
