Answer

A sample is meant to illustrate the paper or stock and can either be printed or unprinted. We include samples in our sample kits that say "4OVER4" on them and often include some sample artwork as well. On the other hand, a hard-copy proof is a printed document that illustrates specifically your order, artwork, and design. You can then examine and confirm the color output and file. For a hardcopy proof, you must send us back the proof with your signature before the order can be put into production.
