Question

Should I include a QR code on my business card?

Answer

A QR code is a great addition when it leads somewhere genuinely useful. It turns a static card into a shortcut to your digital world, but only if the destination earns the scan.

  • Link it to something with value, like a booking page, portfolio, digital contact card, or landing page.
  • Make the code at least 0.75 inches square so phone cameras read it reliably.
  • Keep clear quiet space around the code, since crowding it can break scanning.
  • Place it on the back if the front is already full, so it never fights your main content.
  • Test the printed code with a couple of phones before you approve the full run.

Skip the code if it only points to your homepage with no clear payoff. A QR code should save the person a step, not add one.
