What paper stock can raised spot UV be applied to?
Answer
Raised spot UV needs a specific base to hold its dimensional gloss. It is applied only to 16pt paper that is velvet laminated on both sides.
- Required stock: 16pt paper with velvet lamination on the front and back.
- Why: the smooth, sealed velvet surface lets the UV sit up cleanly instead of soaking in.
- Not compatible: other stocks and finishes will not support the raised effect.
