Question
What file format works best for custom decal printing?
Answer
PDF is the safest file format for decal printing because it locks in fonts, colors, and resolution across systems. Vector formats work well too, as long as the color and bleed settings are right.
| Setting | Target |
|---|---|
| File format | PDF (also AI or EPS) |
| Color mode | CMYK |
| Resolution | 300 DPI |
| Bleed | 0.125 inch on all sides |
- Outline or embed fonts so nothing reflows on our end.
- Keep important text and logos inside a safe margin from the cut line.
