Online proofs confirm layout and content, but they cannot show true print quality. They are low-resolution RGB JPEGs built for on-screen preview, so sharpness and color will not match the printed piece.

• Proofs are compressed for the screen, so an image at 50-72 dpi can look fine online yet print soft.
• Screen color is RGB while printing is CMYK, so exact color cannot be judged from a proof.
• Use the proof to verify text, layout, and that the correct file was used.
• If you are worried about image resolution, raise it with support before approving.
