Can I have any printing under my raised foil mask?

We recommend keeping a solid color behind the raised foil mask and avoiding detailed artwork or text underneath it. Fine details placed under the foil tend to get hidden or muddied once the raised foil is applied.

• Do: place a solid color background where the foil will sit
• Avoid: putting artwork, small text or fine lines directly under the foil mask
• Why: the raised foil covers what is beneath it, so underlying detail may not show through cleanly
• Keep foil elements simple and bold for the sharpest, most eye-catching result
