Question
Can I make changes to my order after I've submitted my design but before it goes to print?
Answer
If your job has not been finalized yet, there is often still room to adjust it. The proof stage is where most of these changes happen, and approval is the cutoff: nothing goes to press until you approve the proof.
- Before approval: files, size, quantity, stock, and finish can still be revised, including switching between gloss, matte, or uncoated.
- Special features: request extras like rounded corners.
- How to request: use the proof rejection process, or contact support directly with your order number and a clear list of the specifics. Do not cancel the order; the team can place it on hold while you submit updated files by email or through your order portal.
- What happens next: some edits require a new proof approval before the job continues, and if the order has already been authorized, the production team will try to pull it if that is still possible.
- Fees and timing: some changes add a cost, and reaching out early gives the best chance of catching it before production begins, since orders move quickly through the stages (order received, files received, files reviewed, proofs approved, authorized, sent to production).
Use the proofing stage to confirm spelling, colors, layout, and every spec before giving the go-ahead.
