Common questions
Are the 4OVER4 tools free?
Most are completely free and run in your browser with no account: every size guide, the file prep calculators, the QR and barcode generators, and the makers for menus, labels, tickets, invoices, calendars and collages. The tools that run on a paid engine cost coins, priced per result, and the first use of most of those is free.
Do I need an account?
No, except to save a QR code to your account or to spend coins. Everything else works straight away.
Is anything I upload kept?
The browser tools never upload anything at all: they work on the page. The tools that call an engine send the image, get the result back, and keep nothing.
What do the coins cost?
100 coins is one dollar. Most single-image results are 10 to 25 coins.
Do the sizes match what 4OVER4 prints?
Yes. Every size, stock and bleed figure is read from the product configurator, so nothing here describes a product or an option we do not print.
Can I use what these make commercially?
Yes. What you make is yours, and every font used is licensed for commercial use.
Why a size chart is not enough
Knowing that a business card is 3.5 x 2 inches does not get a file to press. The document has to be 3.75 x 2.25 inches, because of bleed. The text has to stop 0.125 inches inside the trim, because of the blade. The file has to be 1125 x 675 pixels, because of the resolution. A chart gives you one of those three numbers.
