Free blank templatesHow to use the background remover
- Pick Logo or flat artwork, which is free and stays on the page, or Photo for hair, fur and soft edges.
- Upload your image. For a photo, sign in and press Cut out the photo: 1 a day is free, then it costs 25 coins.
- For a logo, set How much to remove, and pick Inside letters too if the background shows through holes in the letters.
- Pull the edge in or soften it, crop to the subject if you want, and drag across the image to compare before and after.
- Download the transparent PNG, or a PNG or JPG on a new background colour, and use it on Die-Cut Stickers.
Logo mode or photo mode
Logo or flat artwork mode finds the colour around the edge of your image and clears it, which gives crisp, clean edges on logos, icons and products shot against a plain wall or sheet. That is what print needs: sharp corners, not a soft halo. For hair, fur or a busy background, use Photo mode.
If your logo has holes the background shows through, like the inside of an O, switch on Inside letters too.
Transparency and print
A transparent PNG is what you want for stickers, labels and for placing a logo over a photo on a card. For large sizes, a vector file is better still: run the result through the Vectorizer.

Is it really free?
Logos and flat artwork are free with no limit, because the work happens in your browser. Photos run on our cutout engine: one a day is free, then 25 coins.
Does it work on photos of people?
Yes, in Photo mode, which keeps hair, fur and soft edges. Logo or flat artwork mode is for plain backgrounds.
Is my image uploaded?
In Logo or flat artwork mode, no: the file never leaves your device. In Photo mode it goes to our cutout engine, comes back cut out, and is not kept.
What file do I get?
A transparent PNG, ready to drop onto a sticker, a label or a flyer.
