Art Maker for Print

The premium tier, the one that can put readable words in the picture, generates on Recraft. Recraft's raster output is capped: 4 MP on its Pro models, and the largest raster the API will return is 2048 x 2048. At 300 DPI that is 6.83 x 6.83 inches square, or 10.24 x 5.12 inches at 2:1.

So artwork from the premium tier arrives at card, postcard or small-flyer size. For a poster, a banner or a yard sign, either take the standard tier, which generates on a different engine, or run the result through the Print Upscaler, which uses a print-grade upscaler above 2 MP. We will not promise a print size the engine cannot reach.

Artwork is the everyday option for backgrounds, textures and illustrations. Artwork with readable words uses an engine that is much better at spelling, for when the image itself has to say something.

The image is made in the shape of the size you pick, bleed included, so nothing important lands on the trim.

Generated artwork comes out at about 2 megapixels, which is sharp on a postcard. For a large flyer or a poster, run it through the Print Upscaler to reach the resolution that size needs.
