What is a color seam?

Thicker substrates can be created by mounting two, three, or more sheets together. In an application with three sheets, a color seam is a center layer of paper, often a bold color, sandwiched between the two outer printed sheets so a colored line shows along the edge of the finished card.

• How it is built: multiple sheets are laminated together to reach a heavier thickness.
• The seam: a colored middle layer that appears as a stripe along the card edges.
