Answer
Clear, sharp printing comes down to a few file basics: build the file at its true final size, use high-resolution images, and keep text at a legible size. Files that are blurry or pixelated on screen will usually print that way too.
- Correct size: set the file to the final print size, not oversized to be shrunk down.
- Resolution: use images at 300 DPI or higher.
- Legible text: keep type large enough to read cleanly at final size.
- Proof check: review the proof for any blur or pixelation.
If images or text look soft in the proof, fix the file before approving, since that usually points to a file issue worth fixing before production.
