Do I need to add bleed to my file?
Answer
Bleed is optional, but if you use it your file dimensions have to grow to match. Otherwise you can leave a clean margin and skip it.
- No bleed needed if you keep a white border or generous margin around the design.
- If you add bleed (0.125" per side), enlarge the file to include it.
- Example: a 16×16" design with 0.125" bleed on all sides is submitted as a 16.25×16.25" file.
Keep essential text and logos inside the trim area so nothing is cut off.
