Question

What do I do if my file has white space around the design?

Answer

Extra white space around your artwork usually means the design does not fill the full trim area, which can throw off alignment and leave unwanted borders on the finished product. The file should occupy the exact document dimensions edge to edge.

  • Build the file at the product's specified dimensions and let the design fill the whole canvas.
  • Remove any empty margin or padding around the artwork before you upload.
  • If the background is meant to reach the edge, extend it into the 0.125 inch bleed rather than stopping short.
  • If a proof shows the design floating with a border, re-upload a corrected file sized to the full document area.

Filling the document to its intended size keeps everything aligned with the product boundaries and avoids stray white edges.
