What should I do if my design has elements too close to the edges?

Anything sitting right at the trim can get clipped during cutting, because commercial presses shift by a small tolerance from sheet to sheet. Thin lines, borders, and text placed too near the edge are the most likely to be cut unevenly or lost.

• Keep all critical text, logos, and fine lines inside a safe margin of at least 0.125 inch from the trim edge.
• Extend backgrounds and full-bleed images 0.125 inch past the trim so no white slivers appear after cutting.
• Avoid thin decorative borders that frame the whole card, since any cutting shift makes them look off-center.

The design team reviews uploaded files and will flag elements sitting too close to the edge. If needed, artwork can be nudged into the safe zone, and you can review the corrected version in an updated online proof before it prints.
