Question
What should I do if my design has trim lines or guidelines-will they print?
Answer
Guide lines are only there to show you where things line up, and they are not meant to print. Draw them in an obvious color so they read as markup rather than design.
- Use a bright color such as magenta or pink for trim, fold, and cut guides.
- Keep guide lines visually distinct from your actual artwork.
- When you submit, note which lines are guides and which are part of the design so production prints the right thing.
