Question
What is the European size for letterheads?
Answer
Standard document sizes change when you cross the Atlantic, and letterheads are no exception. Europe uses the ISO A-series rather than the US Letter format.
| Region | Standard size |
|---|---|
| Europe (A4) | 210 x 297 mm (about 8.27" x 11.69") |
| United States (Letter) | 8.5" x 11" |
- A4 is slightly narrower and taller than US Letter.
- If your correspondence is going to European recipients, design to A4 so it fits their standard binders and envelopes.
