Should I design conference badges in RGB or CMYK?

Always design conference badges in CMYK color mode for print. RGB is built for glowing screens, and submitting an RGB file causes color shifts on press, where a bright on-screen blue can print as a muted navy.

• Set your document to CMYK before you start laying out the badge.
• Convert any RGB logos or photos to CMYK and check that brand colors still look right.
• Use Pantone values for critical brand colors so they reproduce consistently across the whole batch.
• Export a print-ready PDF with CMYK preserved rather than letting the file default back to RGB.
