Answer
Always design conference badges in CMYK color mode for print. RGB is built for glowing screens, and submitting an RGB file causes color shifts on press, where a bright on-screen blue can print as a muted navy.
- Set your document to CMYK before you start laying out the badge.
- Convert any RGB logos or photos to CMYK and check that brand colors still look right.
- Use Pantone values for critical brand colors so they reproduce consistently across the whole batch.
- Export a print-ready PDF with CMYK preserved rather than letting the file default back to RGB.
