What should I do if my design has white edges or gaps that I want removed?

White edges or thin slivers along the trim almost always mean the artwork does not reach into the bleed. You can flag it on your proof and support can adjust the fit before it prints.

What to do:

• Note the exact issue in your proof comments, for example "white edges showing, please extend the background to the trim"
• Ask the team to pull your background out to the bleed line
• Send a source file if the fix needs the original layers

To avoid it next time, build the file this way:

• Extend the background image or color past the trim edge into the 1/8" bleed
• Keep text and logos at least 1/8" inside the trim (the safe zone)
• Export as a print-ready PDF with bleed included
