What should I do if I notice the front and back of my product have the same design and I think it's a mistake?
Answer
If a proof shows the front and back looking identical and you believe that is a mistake, do not approve it. Reject the proof and use the comments to describe exactly what the correct design should be, and the file rep will repost corrected proofs.
- Reject the proof rather than approving it, since approval sends the job to production as shown.
- Add a comment explaining what belongs on each side, front and back.
- Attach or reference the correct artwork if the intended back was not applied.
- Wait for the updated proof and confirm both sides are right before approving.
Clear comments on the rejected proof are the fastest way to get the sides corrected before printing.
