What type of files do you accept for Raised Spot UV Business Cards?
Build the full-color CMYK side as a print-ready PDF. It keeps type, spot colors, and layout exactly as designed on the 16pt velvet laminated stock the cards print on.
- PDF (print-ready): preferred, nothing shifts between your file and the press
- JPG: accepted, flatten and export at high resolution
- TIFF: accepted, good for high-detail raster artwork
- EPS: accepted, ideal for vector-based designs
The raised spot UV needs its own Black Mask file in addition to the CMYK artwork, since the mask defines which areas are raised.
Build the raised areas as clean vector art: solid 100% black on the mask, live text converted to outlines, and no hairlines or type smaller than about 6pt, which may not hold the raised gloss. Have a raster logo redrawn as vector before you submit.
