Question
What file size requirements should my artwork meet?
Answer
The single most important sizing rule is that your artwork must match the exact dimensions listed in your order. Printing scales the file to the ordered size, so a mismatch either stretches your design or leaves it undersized, which is why the file and the order have to line up precisely.
- Match the order: build your file to the exact size shown in your order details.
- Example: if you ordered 2"x2" circular labels, your file should be 2"x2" plus any required bleed.
- Check shape too: circular, oval, or die-cut labels should be designed to that shape, not just a square crop.
- Fix mismatches: if your file does not match the specified dimensions, resupply a correctly sized file before production.
