Question
Where should I place ring holes or grommets in my design template?
Answer
Ring holes, also called grommets, are punched through the edges of banners and similar pieces for hanging. They are typically 3/8 inch in diameter, so give them room to avoid punching through important artwork.
- Grommets are usually 3/8" in diameter.
- Leave at least 1 inch of clear space on either side of the bleed where holes will sit.
- Keep logos and text away from the hole zone so nothing is cut through.
- Request a template from support that marks the exact hole placement for your product.
