What happens if a carrier doesn't scan packages on a holiday?

On certain holidays, carriers such as UPS and FedEx pause pickups and scans, so your tracking may sit unchanged for the day even though your package is still moving through the network. This is normal and does not mean anything is lost.
- Tracking often shows no new scan on a holiday because the carrier is not scanning that day.
- Updates usually resume on the next business day.
- The delivery estimate shifts to account for the closed day.
If your tracking stays stalled well beyond the holiday and the next business day, contact the shipper or carrier for help checking on the shipment.
