Question
What does '4-color' mean for poster printing-does it allow full-color printing?
Answer
On posters, "4-color" means CMYK full-color printing. The four process inks combine to reproduce the full color spectrum, so you are not limited to just four specific colors.
- CMYK stands for cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black)
- Layered together, these inks produce photographic, full-color images
- Build artwork in CMYK rather than RGB so on-screen colors match the print
