Are custom packaging labels waterproof?

Some packaging labels are waterproof and some are not, so it comes down to the material you pick. Film stocks resist water. Paper stocks do not.

• Vinyl: waterproof and durable, good for outdoor and industrial products.
• BOPP: fully waterproof, resists moisture, oils, and refrigeration, ideal for bottles and jars.
• Paper (semi-gloss or matte): best for dry indoor use, not for wet environments.
• Adhesive matters too: pair a waterproof face with a freezer-grade or permanent adhesive for cold or damp conditions.
