How do I set up my file for square printing?
Answer
Square formats are simple to set up because all four sides are equal, but the usual print-prep rules still apply.
- Use 300 DPI resolution at final size.
- Set the file to CMYK color mode.
- Add 0.125" bleed on all four sides and keep text 0.125" inside the trim.
- Start from a square template built to the correct dimensions and safe zones.
A proof is typically provided so you can confirm layout and color before printing begins.
