Yes. Debossing and foil can be applied to the same area, so the design is pressed into the stock and picks up a metallic finish in one spot. It is a popular combination, and it just needs the file set up so each effect is defined clearly.
- Provide the print artwork, then a separate layer or mask for the foil and one for the deboss area.
- Make each effect solid and registered to the same shape so the foil sits inside the debossed impression.
- Keep the elements bold enough to hold up under both the die and the foil.
