Question
What is the standard business card size in centimeters?
Answer
Business card dimensions vary by region, so the right size depends on where you and your contacts do business. All of these are close in area but not identical, and the small differences affect how a card sits in local wallets and holders.
| Region | Standard size |
|---|---|
| North America (USA, Canada) | 8.9 x 5.1 cm |
| Europe | 8.5 x 5.5 cm |
| Japan | 9.1 x 5.5 cm |
| China | 9.0 x 5.4 cm |
- The North American 8.9 x 5.1 cm equals the familiar 3.5 x 2 inch card.
- Confirm which regional standard your printer expects before submitting artwork.
- If you work across regions, printing separate batches avoids fit problems.
