Put Your Offer Right on the Doorknob
Custom rip hangers are door hangers with a tear-off strip: add the perforation 2 inches from the bottom and the reader rips away a coupon or a phone number while the rest stays on the knob. Ours print full color on 14pt or 16pt Gloss Cover with a High Gloss UV Coating, from 250 up to 25,000 per order.
A door hanger reaches the one spot a mailer or flyer never can: the handle of the front door, at eye level, with nothing else competing for attention. Cut to hang over the knob and printed in full color, it waits there until someone comes home and reads it. Canvass a neighborhood after a service call, drop a menu, or leave a just-listed card, and your name lands on the surface every household walks up to. Plastic door hangers start at $290.41 for 250 units and hold a 4.9 out of 5 rating across 25 reviews.
These hangers print full color on a Gloss Cover stock sealed with a High Gloss UV Coating, so the front stays bright and the surface resists fingerprints and handling on the way to the door. To compare them with the rest of the range, browse the full Plastic Collection, or build yours from the choices below.
Runs start at 250 for $290.41, about $1.16 a hanger, for one route after a service call, and the tiers climb to 25,000 for a crew canvassing several neighborhoods. Tap any tier below to see its total and what the step up saves.
Custom Rip Hangers With a Tear-Off Strip
A rip hanger is a door hanger with a strip the reader tears off and keeps. On these hangers the perforation sits 2 inches from the bottom on any of the 4 sizes, from the 3.5" x 8.5" up to the 4.25" x 14", or on a custom size up to 4" x 14". Put the part you want kept below the line, such as a coupon code, a QR link to book, or a phone number, and print 4/4 when the strip needs the offer terms on its back. The minimum is 250 hangers, and standard production is 7 business days.
What Are Plastic Door Hangers
A door hanger is a print piece with a die-cut hole and slot at the top that hangs over a doorknob. At 4OVER4 plastic door hangers print full color in 4 sizes, from 3.5" x 8.5" up to 4.25" x 14", on 14pt or 16pt Gloss Cover with a High Gloss UV Coating, with an optional tear-off perforation set 2 inches from the bottom.
You choose one-sided or two-sided printing, decide whether to add a tear-off tab at the bottom, and pick the stock weight that fits the job. If you want a matching durable piece for the counter or the wallet, the Plastic Business Cards carry the same idea into a card, and the whole family lives in the Plastic Collection.
What Size Should a Door Hanger Be
Pick one of 4 set sizes, 3.5" x 8.5", 3.5" x 11", 4.25" x 11" or 4.25" x 14", or set a custom size up to 4" x 14". The 4.25" x 11" loads as the default, and every size prints with the knob die-cut placed at the top.
The right size comes down to how much you need to say. The compact 3.5" x 8.5" is the quick-hit size for a short offer or a service reminder. Step up to 3.5" x 11" or the default 4.25" x 11" for a headline, an image, and a call to action. The tall 4.25" x 14" reads almost like a mini flyer on the knob, with space for a menu, a map, or a coupon. For something in between, order a custom size up to 4" x 14". The specs panel below lists all 4 sizes, both ink options and the full material list.
What Material and Finish Should You Choose
Two Gloss Cover weights carry the print, 14pt and 16pt, and a High Gloss UV Coating seals both. Choose 4/0 for a printed front and blank back, or 4/4 when the back carries hours or the terms of an offer. Add the perforation 2 inches from the bottom for a tear-off tab.
The stock sets the feel in the hand. The 14pt Gloss Cover is the everyday choice, light enough to hang cleanly and priced for a big run. The 16pt Gloss Cover is a touch heavier and holds its shape better on a windy porch. Both get a High Gloss UV Coating, a bright glossy finish and a harder surface that resists fingerprints and light moisture at the door.
Use the tear-off perforation
Turn on the perforation 2 inches from the bottom and that strip tears away clean, so the reader keeps part of the hanger after the rest comes off the knob. Make it a coupon code, a QR link, or a phone number. Leave perforation off when you want a solid, single-piece hanger.

Plastic Door Hangers: Frequently Asked Questions
What material are these door hangers printed on?
Two materials are offered here: 14pt and 16pt Gloss Cover, both sealed with a High Gloss UV Coating. The coating gives the front a hard, wipe-clean surface that shrugs off fingerprints and handling on the way to the door.
What is the smallest run and what does it cost?
Two hundred fifty units, starting at $290.41. The per-unit price slides toward about 9 cents as the run climbs to 25,000, so a crew canvassing several neighborhoods should price the larger tiers before ordering.
Which size should I choose?
There are 4 sizes, from a compact 3.5 by 8.5 inches up to a tall 4.25 by 14 inches, and custom sizing is available up to 4 by 14 inches. The tall size carries a service list or a photo, while the small one is faster to hand out in volume.
Can I print the back of the hanger?
Yes. Choose 4/0 for a printed front and a blank back, or 4/4 when the back carries your hours, a service list or the terms of an offer. With the tear-off perforation 2 inches from the bottom, a printed back lets the strip carry the offer terms on its reverse. Both the 14pt and the 16pt gloss cover get the High Gloss UV Coating.
Can I include a tear-off piece?
Yes. An optional perforation runs 2 inches from the bottom, so a coupon or a callback card tears off while the rest stays on the knob. It is the simplest way to measure whether a route produced calls.
How long before I can start hanging them?
Standard production is 7 business days, plus transit. Plan a canvass around that window rather than ordering the week you want to walk the route.
