How should I format barcode numbers when submitting them for Code 39 barcodes?

For Code 39 barcodes, the formatting rule is simple and easy to miss, so it is worth checking before you submit.

• Do not include the asterisks (*) at the beginning and end of your barcode numbers.
• 4OVER4 automatically adds those start and stop characters during production.
• Submit just the raw numbers or characters you want encoded.

Leaving the asterisks out prevents a doubled or unreadable barcode on the finished print.
