What is a free online proof and when will I receive it?

A free online proof is a no cost digital preview of your job that you review before it prints. It shows the design, colors, artwork placement, text, and how elements sit inside the trim area, and it is usually posted within minutes when the product qualifies for auto-proofing, otherwise in about 20 minutes or within one business day after receiving your files.

If you chose the free online proof, nothing prints until you approve it, so the proof gives you a final chance to catch typos, layout errors, or wrong sizing and confirm your file is exactly how you want it.

The online proof is a low-resolution JPG for checking layout, text and placement. It does not show exact final color or print resolution; the job prints from your original high-resolution files, so build them at 300 DPI at final size. If something is off, reject the proof and add your feedback in the comments; a technician updates the file and posts a new proof. If color is critical, choose a hard copy proof: $75 on most products, $150 for multi-page books or die-cut to shape, printed 1 to 2 business days after you approve the online proof.
