What does the 'proof' step mean during the ordering process?

The proof step is your preview of how the design will look once it is printed, and it is the last checkpoint before your order goes to press. It shows your artwork at actual size so you can judge it the way it will really appear.

A couple of things to understand about what you are looking at:

• Actual size: the proof represents the true dimensions of your finished piece.
• The red line: it marks the trim boundary and safe printing area, so keep important text and logos inside it.
• What to catch: image placement, sizing, and any content that could be cut off during trimming.

Review it carefully, because approving the proof is your final chance to fix problems before production begins.
