Question

What should I do if my uploaded file has a problem and my order goes on hold?

Answer

When a file problem blocks a proof from being created, the order is placed on hold rather than printed. Getting it moving again just means supplying artwork the system can work with.

  • You are notified by email with the specific problem. Common causes include low resolution (under the required 300 DPI at final size), wrong dimensions, missing fonts, or a missing element like a dieline.
  • Upload new files by logging into your account and using the Upload option next to your order number.
  • Or use the free online design tool to build your design if you do not have print-ready files.
  • If the issue is resolution, re-export at 300 DPI or greater at the ordered size; web images at 72 DPI or images enlarged past their native size will not pass.
  • Once your new files are received, the order re-enters the technical review queue.
  • Held orders are handled on a first-come, first-served basis once corrected files arrive.
  • Production resumes after the corrected file passes review and you approve the updated proof.

Responding quickly keeps your turnaround as close to the original schedule as possible.
