Indoor or Outdoor Decides Nearly Everything Else
Outdoors, the sign is fighting water, sun and wind, and each material loses to a different one of the three. Indoors it is fighting nothing, so the argument shifts to how the panel looks and how it mounts.
Outdoors, short term. Coroplast, staked or grommeted. Plant the flutes running vertically so an H-stake slides into the channels and the board does not fold in a gust. Print both sides when traffic comes from two directions, because a blank back facing the road wastes half the placement. It is a temporary sign by design and by price, and pretending otherwise is how people end up disappointed at month six.
Outdoors, long term. Aluminum. A .040 inch panel with drilled holes and rounded corners goes onto a post or a wall and stays there. Five Things to Settle Before You Upload the File
Most reprints trace back to a decision made after the order, not before it. Settle these five first and the job runs once.
