Question

What files do I need to create a 3D lenticular effect on stickers?

Answer

A 3D lenticular effect is created by interlacing two or more images behind a lenticular lens, so a single flat file cannot produce the effect on its own.

  • Provide at least two separate artwork files, each showing a different frame, position, or image.
  • More frames create smoother motion or greater depth, but each one must align under the lens.
  • Files need to be interlaced specifically for the lens pitch being used.
  • Keep the images in register so the transition looks clean rather than ghosted.

Work with a design or prepress team experienced in lenticular setup to make sure the frames are prepared correctly before production.
