What happens if my postcard is slightly oversized?

If your card creeps past the postcard-rate maximum, USPS reclassifies it as a letter and you pay the higher letter rate. Push the size much further and it can become a flat, which costs even more. Always measure the finished, trimmed card before buying postage.
